Common questions

Water filtration FAQs

A quick starting point before you explore each solution in more detail.

What is the difference between DI and reverse osmosis water?

Reverse osmosis uses a membrane to reduce a broad range of dissolved material. Deionization targets charged mineral ions and is commonly used when a low-TDS, spot-free final rinse is the priority.

Should I buy a system or use PES spot-free water?

A dedicated DI or residential filtration system is usually best for frequent or higher-volume use. PES spot-free fill-up service is a convenient option when you want ready-to-use water without installing or maintaining a system.

Are the spot-free water fill stations available after store hours?

At Phoenix, yes. Two self-serve spot-free water fill stations are available 24/7 with instructions posted on-site. Glendale fill-ups are available only during regular store hours with assistance from a PES representative.
